### Difficult Terrain
Difficult terain halves your movement speed. Consider having a player [[Trailblaze]] to help offset this
### Forced March
- Characters can travel for 8 hours in a day before risking exhaustion.
- For each additional hour of travel beyond that, each character must make a Constitution saving throw at the end of every hour.
- The DC is 10 + 1 for each hour past 8 hours.
- On a failed saving throw, a character suffers one level of exhaustion.
- If the party is moving at a slow pace, they gain a +5 bonus to the check, and a fast pace imposes a -5 penalty.
## Choose Travel Activity
- Each player can do 1 travel activity per leg of travel (so 1 in the morning and 1 in the afternoon)
- Each activity has an associated ability check
- Players can "work together" - give help action
| Activity Type | Implication |
| ------------- | ------------------------------------------- |
| Dangerous | Must separate from the group |
| Distracting | -5 to passive Perception |
| Exhausting | Doing 2 per day gives 1 level of exhaustion |
| Focused | Max of 2 people can roll for this |

- Proficiency bonus (so [[Draw a Map]], [[Hunt and Forage for Food]], [[Keep Watch]], [[Navigate]], [[Scout]], [[Track]])
- The party can't become lost except by magical means.
- Even when Loretta is engaged in another activity while traveling, she can simultaneously [[Keep Watch]]
- Can roll active perception instead of passive perception
- If Loretta travels on her own, she can [[Sneak]] at a normal pace.
- When Loretta [[Hunt and Forage for Food|Hunts / Forages]] , she finds twice as much food as others normally would.
- When Loretta [[Track|Tracks]] other creatures, she also learns their exact number, their sizes, and how long ago they passed through the area.
She'll choose additional favored terrain types at 6th and 10th level.
